SHIFT: Full-Time Nights

This position is referral eligible.

One year of Labor & Delivery experience is required.

IU Saxony Labor and Delivery consists of 4 OB ED beds, 12 LDRP rooms and 2 OR suites. We are a level 2- LDRP and see some high-risk patients. Our unit staffs an anesthesiologist and OB Provider on-site 24/7. Our patients are with us during their pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum period.

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

  • Circulating in OB procedures in the OB OR
  • Triage of OB patients
  • Managing each phase of the pregnancy, delivery, and post-partum process
  • Collaborative work with physicians

Available Shifts:

Full-Time Nights

Qualifications:

  • Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according
  • Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to patient care policies.
