A Brief Overview
Assists management with daily operations of the Environmental Services Department. Provides support across all three shifts, 7 days per week. Fulfills supervisory capacities in the supervisor's absence.
What you will do
  • Interact with coworkers, patients, and visitors with compassion, courtesy, and professionalism
  • Instruct and train employees in all aspects of the department, including Transport, Linen, Housekeeping, and Waste Management
  • Act on behalf of the supervisor and report issues or concerns as needed
  • Maintain the highest quality standards for the hospital
  • Oversee overnight shifts, collaborating with other leads or working independently as needed
  • Assist with scheduling and work assignments
  • Ensure staff follow proper procedures for chemical use, cleaning, and equipment care
  • Inspect the hospital's condition and recommend improvements
  • Monitor staff to ensure compliance with instructions and safety rules
  • Keep written records and submit shift reports
  • Ensure proper waste disposal

Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required

Experience Qualifications
  • 1 year EVS or Transport experience preferred
