Overview: Aluma-Glass Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Purchaser/Driver. We are a glazing sub-contractor, based out of Surrey. We fabricate and install metal window systems (storefront, curtainwall, canopies and interior glazing) for commercial projects. Our employees enjoy competitive pay and extended benefits package. Responsibilities: * Receive sundry order sheets from company online portal, order required material using in house purchase order system. * Operates Company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner for the pick-up and delivery of sundry material, frames and parts as directed. * Prepares and packages frames for delivery to site by ensuring they are securely tied down to the truck, wrapped and tagged etc. * Performs periodic safety and maintenance checks on Company vehicles and insures that required maintenance actions are accomplished on schedule. * Carries out light shop work such as cutting metal, drilling, vinyling and tagging frames etc. Performs general warehousing tasks such as the receiving and storing of parts and material. * Performs daily general housekeeping to keep shop space clean and orderly. Requirements: * Current drivers' license with a clean driving record required. * Prior related experience of 1 year required as a driver or a construction worker. * Ability to drive an automatic, flat deck truck with a trailer (18 ft.). * Must be able to lift (50+ lbs) Expected Work Hours: This is a full-time position. Work hours are from Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Full benefits package including extended medical, dental, vacation, and holiday pay.
