Job description

Fountain Tire Surrey Port Kells (19585 - 96 Ave) is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as a Delivery Driver!

What each day will bring:

  • Inspect vehicles and equipment on a daily basis, record information in the Driver’s Daily Log Book and immediately report any issues to the Store Manager
  • Deliver shipments to assigned locations in a safe and timely manner
  • Load and unload transport trucks using safe lifting and loading procedures
  • Ensure all equipment, tools and supplies are returned in good working condition to proper location, immediately reporting any concerns or damaged equipment or tools to the Store Manager for repair or replacement.
  • Ensure that all vehicle documentation is maintained and preserved and that any issues are reported to the Store Manager.
  • Operate company vehicles in a clean and safe manner; this includes utilizing proper barriers to maintain vehicle cleanliness, and ensuring equipment and loads in company vehicles are safely secured for transportation.
  • Assist in inventory management through documentation processes.
  • Understand and adhere to safe operation of all equipment

 What kind of person are we looking for?

  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial Driver’s Abstract
  • A customer service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers; this includes good communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; this includes organization, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to consistently lift 100lbs using safe lifting procedures
