Weekend Hotshot Delivery Driver information

How do I get into Hotshot delivery?

To become a Weekend Hotshot Delivery Driver, you typically need a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting goods, and a clean driving record. Experience with logistics, navigation skills, and sometimes a commercial driver's license (CDL) are beneficial. Applying through delivery companies or independent contracting platforms is common, and being available on weekends is often required.

What company in Texas is paying truckers $14000 a week?

There are no widely verified companies offering truck drivers or delivery drivers, including weekend hotshot drivers, $14,000 per week. Such high earnings are uncommon and may be exaggerated or associated with specialized or owner-operator roles with high mileage or loads. Job seekers should research legitimate opportunities and be cautious of claims promising unusually high weekly pay.

What is the difference between Weekend Hotshot Delivery Driver vs Local Delivery Driver?

AspectWeekend Hotshot Delivery DriverLocal Delivery Driver

The Weekend Hotshot Delivery Driver specializes in urgent, on-demand deliveries often in urban settings, requiring quick turnaround and flexibility. In contrast, a Local Delivery Driver usually follows scheduled routes within a specific area. Both roles require a valid driver's license and involve driving, but the Hotshot role emphasizes speed and responsiveness for time-sensitive shipments.

How do I find loads for Hotshot trucking?

Hotshot delivery drivers can find loads through load boards such as DAT, Truckstop.com, and 123Loadboard, which connect carriers with shippers. Building relationships with brokers and freight agents, maintaining proper licensing and insurance, and leveraging social media or industry networks also help in securing consistent loads.

How much can a hot shot driver make in a week?

A weekend hot shot delivery driver can typically earn between $500 and $1,500 per week, depending on factors such as load volume, distance, and experience. Earnings are often based on per-load rates, fuel costs, and the ability to secure consistent contracts or loads during weekends.
