Bring Better to the Bedside as a Hospital Medicine Physician in Port Huron, Michigan at McLaren Port Huron Hospital

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 6 physicians and 1 advanced practitioner with the support of a practice coordinator at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.
  • We take pride in our active engagement within the hospital, collaborating with leaders, managers, and staff to elevate the quality of patient care. With a footprint in 11 committees, we are consistently the first to volunteer for quality improvement initiatives.
  • We meet monthly for team meetings and internal staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
  • New internal medicine graduates, internal medicine residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply.
  • We proudly support both H1 and J1 Visa Candidates who can take advantage of Sound's excellent in-house visa specialists and our licensing and credentialing experts. All required filing fees for the visa are paid, and services are covered by Sound.

Scheduling:

  • Our Hospitalists follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation. The shifts are 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We welcome the challenge of complex cases. There is an open ICU with intensivist coverage. Our team is not expected to do procedures.
  • Our team responds to all adult code blue and rapid-response events in the hospital.
  • We work with internal medicine residents.
