Position:  MAP Hockey Advisor, Minneapolis, MN


Job Title and Summary:

Advisors at MAP Hockey will be expected to secure and service our advising clients with the highest of integrity by utilizing the protocols and basic services provided and by utilizing their own personal network and the vast network and support of MAP Hockey.

Statement of Job Purposes and Objectives:

Responsible for providing high-quality hockey Advising and educational programs while building relationships with our members and your current network of players and coaches.  The position aims to create a quality service that allows players and parents to grow and excel in understanding their game and how it relates to playing at the next level with the current HS, AAA, Junior and College hockey landscape.

Major Job Duties:


  • Provide insight into the foundational outline of our Advising coaching philosophy.
  • Provide and produce content to educate potential clients on the benefit of Advising via social media
  • Maintain the program's integrity by providing quality guidance.
  • Support the Hockey IQ Division as well as MAP/FHIT/MEGA Programs through potential contacts, clients, or advising consult sessions.
  • Recruiting new members via seminars, speaking engagements, and various contacts
  • Communicating with potential new members and describing our program must be able to field questions on the format.
  • Help provide and perform seminars or curriculum for Bantam Preview tournaments that FHIT and MAP            
  • Host or other special events.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Advising program by providing a high level of communication and mentorship
  • Performing initial consult meetings to determine the players needs and offer guidance to development or advising needs.  
  • Evaluation of the player to determine their customized development path
  • Academic Planning & Management, NCAA clearinghouse guidance etc…
  • Performing meetings with the advising members to go over the following 
    • Goal setting
    • Personalized development feedback and guidance 
    • Facilitating Customized workout plans  
  • Facilitating or performing of the members hockey IQ program 
  • In charge of player marketing and promotion to teams leagues as well as use of social media 
  • Consistent communication and ongoing mentorship with advising members  
  • Help provide members and create rosters for preview tournaments FHIT and MAP host, including Holiday Skates and special events.
  • In person recruiting networking at games, tryouts, festivals, tournaments, combines, drafts and other events.
  • Act as a facilitator, communicator and manage current and potential advising members to make sure all services are being executed and performed by either yourself or by the appropriate person on our staff.  
  • Compile and keep data/personal contact information updated regarding coaches, GMs and roster changes for nationwide T1, Jr and college teams
