Love hockey? Love helping players get better? Know how to make hard work fun? We want you on our team!
We're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Hockey Instructor to help players develop their skills, confidence, and love of the game.
From first-time players learning the fundamentals to experienced athletes looking to take their game to the next level, you'll have the opportunity to make an impact both on and off the ice.
Your Mission: Teach. Motivate. Develop.
As a Hockey Instructor, you'll lead engaging, skill-based training sessions focused on helping players improve while creating a positive and supportive environment.
You'll work on everything from skating and puck handling to shooting and game strategy, while making sure players are challenged, encouraged, and having fun.
What You'll Do
  • Lead group and private hockey lessons, clinics, and team practices
  • Teach fundamental and advanced hockey skills based on player age and ability
  • Demonstrate skating, puck handling, shooting, passing, and other hockey fundamentals
  • Create a fun, disciplined, and respectful learning environment
  • Encourage players, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate their progress
  • Monitor player safety and enforce arena rules during sessions
  • Set up and break down cones, nets, and other training equipment
  • Communicate with players, families, coaches, and staff regarding schedules and player development
  • Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled sessions
  • Be a positive role model for young athletes on and off the ice

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...
  • Have competitive hockey experience at the high school, junior, college, or professional level
  • Are a strong skater and can clearly demonstrate hockey fundamentals
  • Have coaching or teaching experience - preferred, but not required for entry-level clinics
  • Communicate well with players of different ages and skill levels
  • Know how to motivate, encourage, and challenge athletes in a positive way
  • Are dependable, organized, and punctual
  • Are available to work evenings and weekends
  • Have a genuine passion for hockey and helping players succeed

Certifications
Depending on the program or facility, the following may be preferred or required:
  • USA Hockey Coaching Certification or willingness to obtain
  • SafeSport Training and Background Check
  • Concussion training
  • CPR/First Aid Certification recommended

Why You'll Want to Join Our Team
  • Stay Close to the Game: Turn your hockey experience into an opportunity to develop the next generation of players.
  • Help Players Grow: See the difference your coaching makes as athletes gain skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game.
  • Great Team: Work alongside a collaborative and supportive group of hockey and arena professionals.
  • Learn & Develop: Continue growing your own coaching skills while learning new training techniques, tools, and systems.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Opportunities that work well around school, another job, or other coaching commitments.
  • Have Fun at Work: We take player development seriously-but that doesn't mean we can't have fun doing it!

Ready to Hit the Ice?
If you have hockey knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm to help players become better athletes, better teammates, and more confident competitors, we'd love to hear from you.
