Job description

Position Summary: Analyze, designs, modifies, develops, deploys, and implements software programming applications.Supports and/or installs client applications, web applications, server applications, and operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the healthcare information technology field. Performs significant software engineering tasks, including but not limited to: building and deploying a website or software application, configuring a server application or database, writing custom reports and queries, manipulating and importing conversion and/or interface files for ETL, troubleshooting and optimizing software processes utilizing technical knowledge, abilities and experience. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager. Certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Four - six years of work experience in the field or in a related field. Above average skill level with Microsoft Office Applications. Strong understanding of HL7 interface message formats. Development experience with one or more programming languages, including, but not limited to COBOL, Visual Basic, Java, C, C++, C#, T-SQL, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Java-script, JSP, PHP, and ASP. Scripting experience with one or more scripting languages, including but not limited to VBScript, Perl, Python, *nix shell scripting, WScript. Administration experience with more than one of the following server applications
IIS, Apache, SQL Server, Oracle 10g, MySQL, Websphere 6.x, Apache Tomcat, MOSS, BizTalk, MS Exchange.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. 

Salary range: $115,000. - $155,000. Annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
