Job description

We are seeking a Paralegal to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • prepare and file complaints in federal and state court
  • Drafting of legal documents, including discovery requests and responses
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all court deadlines and maintain calendar
  • Record and store client information, records, and case filings
  • Manage the day to day of the case in conjunction with attorneys
  • schedule events, such as depositions, mediations, hearings, witness and client meetings
  • work with clients on completing discovery
  • prepare the attorney and the case for mediations, depositions, hearings
  • basic case file maintenance
  • day to day upkeep of case required filings, service of pleadings, motions and discovery and client records

​Qualifications:

  • 2 years of previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant handling assigned cases
  • able to prepare subpoenas
  • Familiarity with federal rules and federal case filings
  • experience drafting and responding to discovery
  • experience filing complaints helpful or a plus
  • Ability to multitask and manage the calendar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
