Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
    Required Qualifications
  • Current pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Strong clinical knowledge, including medication interactions, contraindications, and allergy assessments.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
    Position Summary
    The Pharmacist is responsible for supporting pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This role provides comprehensive, accurate, and timely drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various medication distribution systems. The Pharmacist plays a critical role in ensuring patients receive the appropriate medications safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
    Key Responsibilities
    Pharmacy Operations
  • Execute daily pharmacy operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, production quotas, and deadlines are met.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of all new and refill prescriptions, labels, packaging, and orders.
  • Maintain daily workflow and ensure all dashboard activities are completed.
  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide clinical review and interpretation of prescriptions, including drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions, and allergy screening.
    Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Adhere to DEA policies and procedures as established by company standards and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain compliance with third-party payer contracts and pharmacy regulations.
  • Follow all HIPAA and government regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
    Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow management, security, and adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to team members.
  • Support employee development and contribute to building a strong talent pipeline.
    Controlled Substance Management
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, documenting, handling, and storing controlled substances.
  • Support maintenance of perpetual inventory records for Schedule II medications.
    Clinical & Patient Care Services
  • Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of sterile IV medications and solutions.
  • Participate in evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as assigned.
    Additional Duties
  • Follow departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

    Work Environment
