Python Backend Developer
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-native backend services and REST APIs in Python.
- Deploy and operate microservices on AWS, GCP, or Azure using containerized workloads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum delivery model, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Diagnose and resolve production issues, and continuously improve service reliability, observability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience developing production backend systems in Python.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating microservice architectures and REST APIs.
- Demonstrated experience deploying and managing workloads on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong grounding in CI/CD practices and automated testing across unit and integration layers.
- Experience delivering software within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with data processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Experience with Java backend development.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Helm.
- Exposure to observability tooling
