Are you an experienced investigator with a passion for workplace compliance and employee relations? Our client is seeking a Fair Employment Practices Specialist to conduct complex investigations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and civil rights complaints while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and HR partners, helping to mitigate organizational risk through sound investigative practices, policy development, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct complex investigations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, civil rights, Title IX, EEO, and EEOC complaints
  • Prepare position statements, agency responses, settlement agreements, and represent the organization during mediations with regulatory agencies
  • Develop and implement compliance-related policies, procedures, training programs, and regulatory initiatives
  • Provide consultation and guidance to leadership, HR Business Partners, legal counsel, and department leaders on employee relations and compliance matters
  • Analyze organizational practices, legislative changes, and workforce trends to identify risk and recommend solutions
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Seven (7) years of experience in employee relations, investigations, compliance, or a related field required
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience conducting Title IX, EEO, and EEOC investigations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws including Title VII, Title IX, ADA, ADEA, Section 504, Clery Act, Campus SaVE, and VAWA regulations
  • PHR, SPHR, Mediator Certification, bilingual abilities, and experience developing compliance training and policies preferred

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
