Job Description:
Manufacturing Operator 3rd Shift **Hiring Bonus**

We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Operator to join our Chardon, OH team. This facility manufactures poly glass pressure vessels, hydropneumatics pressure tanks, brine and water storage tanks which are commonly used in water purification systems, including water softeners and well systems for residential customers. You will read and understand standard work instructions and set up and operate equipment in the facility. This includes working with blow mold presses and doing the assembly, testing, and any other duties that go along with producing our various tanks.
You will:
  • Read and understand standard work instructions
  • Offload, assemble, fill, test, and package tanks
  • Wind tank liner with fiberglass strands that are coated with a mixture of resin and hardener.
  • Produce the liners and/or air cells using blow mold presses.
  • Remove excess flashing as parts come off the press, as well as quality inspection.
  • Follow all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Key Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment
  • Read and follow work instructions accurately
  • Basic machine operation for winding, molding, and trimming parts
  • Quality inspection skills to check tanks and remove defects
  • Physical capability to lift, stand, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Safety and 5S awareness in a manufacturing environment
  • Physical requirements: standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel-toed shoes are required.

Position hours/shift (Overtime Available!):
  • 3rd shift: 8:30pm to 7am, Monday - Thursday
  • 10% shift differential for 3rd shift

Compensation:
  • The hourly pay for this role is: $17.50 to $21/hr. DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

**Hiring Bonus**
  • $1000 Hiring Bonus- The hiring bonus is payable at $500 after 90 days and $500 after 180 days of employment. This amount will be subject to repayment in full if your employment with Pentair terminates at any time within one year of your hire date.
