SUMMER HELP
Highway Department
Ozaukee County is looking for responsible individuals for our Summer Help position to work in our Highway Department from approximately May until August. The Highway Department is responsible for State, County and Local roadway construction throughout Ozaukee County.
Responsibilities: Assist with general maintenance of the County Highway system, including, but not limited to, traffic control, mowing, weed trimming, litter or garbage pick-up, highway construction, painting, paperwork filing and/or office cleaning. One position is open in our Mechanic's Shop to perform repairs and maintenance work on gas or diesel equipment, delivery and pick-up of parts, and assisting our Mechanics on larger projects.
Qualifications: Individuals must have a valid Wisconsin Driver's License, be a minimum age of 18, and a willingness to work outdoors in a construction setting. The candidate for the Mechanic's Shop position should have some basic mechanic knowledge.
Location: Summer Help will report to one of our three Highway Locations: Cedarburg, Port Washington or Waubeka.
Wage Rate/Hours: $17.48 per hour. Forty (40) Hours per Week. The regular hours will be four (4) 10-hour days, from 6am to 4pm on Monday through Thursday.
