Role Overview:
The Jewelry Specialist is a highly engaged seller who is equipped to take care of Dover Street Los Angeles clientele. This person's number one priority is to maximize sales and build long-term, high value relationships. The Jewelry Specialist is jewelry authority and skilled seller and serves as a key store resource and leader for jewelry education and selling techniques. Our Jewelry Specialist provide the highest level of service to clients, assisting them throughout the store with all personal needs. In partnership with the Jewelry Manager, the Jewelry Specialist builds community and personal relationships that drive good will and volume. They are the ultimate brand ambassador.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and maintain enduring relationships with high-net-worth jewelry clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their individual needs and preferences.
  • Consistently achieve individual and contribute to team jewelry sales targets, demonstrating a proactive and entrepreneurial approach to driving business.
  • Provide expert consultation on fine jewelry, including precious metals, gemstones (carat, cut, clarity, color), and jewelry design.
  • Organize and lead jewelry-focused client events or educational initiatives to foster deeper engagement, build brand loyalty, and drive sales.
  • Serve as a key brand ambassador for Dover Street Market, embodying and promoting our unique jewelry offerings and the overarching brand ethos.
  • Maintain a sophisticated understanding of luxury presentation within the jewelry space, ensuring alignment with DSM's "beautiful chaos" aesthetic and contributing to visual merchandising.
  • Lead by example in providing unparalleled customer service, setting the standard for clienteling and follow-up within the jewelry team.
  • Maintain a meticulous customer book of key jewelry clients and VIPs, ensuring proactive outreach and personalized service.
  • Participate in operational responsibilities related to the jewelry department, ensuring efficient and organized front and back-of-house standards.
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage client relationships, track sales performance, and personalize client interactions.
