Job description

Multi-practice law firm with more than 14 locations throughout Florida and the United States is looking for a First and Third-Party Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

As an Associate Attorney at the firm, you will manage a variety of insurance-related cases, ranging from initial evaluation through resolution. You will work closely with senior attorneys and partners, developing strategies for complex litigation and interacting directly with clients. This role offers significant autonomy over your cases while being supported by a collaborative legal team. You will primarily focus on both first-party claims involving insurance coverage disputes and third-party claims regarding defense litigation. This is a full-time position based out of the firms Fort Lauderdale, FL office, flexible, remote and hybrid schedules are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a caseload of first and third-party insurance litigation matters, including conducting discovery, drafting motions, and preparing for trial.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop litigation strategies.
  • Provide legal representation to insurance clients in a wide range of litigation matters, ensuring excellent service and case outcomes.
  • Maintain regular client communication and provide status updates.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Must have a Florida bar license in good standing
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in experience in First and Third-Party Insurance Litigation or related fields.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills with experience managing cases from inception through resolution.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset, coupled with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
