Registered Nurse – Operating Room (ENT, Eyes & Plastics)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 17-Week Assignment | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Monday–Friday, 6:40 AM–7:10 PM; shift may vary to 10:40 AM–11:10 PM based on operational need | Weekday, weekend, and possible holiday call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in an Operating Room setting specializing in ENT, Eyes, and Plastics procedures
  • Adapt to varying shift times and float to other units as operationally required
  • Fulfill weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities as assigned
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, protocols, and Magnet-designated standards of care
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the Operating Room specialty
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates are not accepted)
  • Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; up to three attempts permitted under specific conditions)
  • Adult telemetry exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole) and no incorrect answers on third-degree heart block questions
  • Pediatric telemetry exam requires identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia with a passing score of 80% or higher
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity or academic medical center environment
  • Familiarity with ENT, ophthalmologic, or plastics surgical procedures and instrumentation
  • Experience working in a Magnet-designated facility
