Job Description:
Job Summary
The Purdue Testing Services (PTS) Assistant Director reports to the Director of PTS and provides operational leadership for the day-to-day administration of vendor and advanced credit exams. This position serves as the primary lead for vendor and advanced credit exams while also playing a key role in supporting and scaling accommodated testing operations, particularly during high-volume periods.
The Assistant Director oversees all aspects of test preparation and administration to ensure the security of test materials and the protection of student confidentiality in compliance with ADA, FERPA, and Academic Integrity, and other applicable laws and policies. The role is responsible for supervising one full-time staff and a large team of student employees, including recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, management, or related field
  • Six (6) years of professional higher-ed student support experience.

Skills:
  • Professional writing and editing skills. Excellent computer and communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to balance interruptions while also maintaining productivity
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere and work collaboratively with campus partners and test vendors
  • Managing a broad team and building work schedules.

Nice to Have:
  • Master's degree
  • Certifications as a test administrator from test vendors.
