Job description

At Mongoose, we believe every conversation matters.

Weโ€™re on a mission to change lives by making conversation intelligence accessible to all in higher education. Our purpose? To move people forward. Whether itโ€™s helping a student navigate their first semester, connecting alumni with meaningful opportunities, or ensuring parents feel informed and supportedโ€”our AI-enabled platform drives compliant, empathetic, and impactful conversations that build trust and foster success campus-wide.

We know that conversations arenโ€™t just a featureโ€”theyโ€™re the foundation of connection. Thatโ€™s why we focus on delivering insights, relevance, empathy, scale, and trust in everything we do. At Mongoose, weโ€™re transforming communication in higher ed because we believe reputation is a mutual responsibility, and the right insights fuel measurable outcomes.

Join us and be part of a team thatโ€™s making a real difference in educationโ€”one conversation at a time.

About This Posting
This is an evergreen posting for positions within our Revenue Teamโ€”meaning there isnโ€™t a specific open role tied to it today. Weโ€™re always looking to connect with great talent who could be a future fit across our go-to-market organization, and we use this posting to build relationships with candidates weโ€™d love to consider when the right opportunity opens up. If any of the roles below sound like a fit for your background and what youโ€™re looking for next, weโ€™d love to hear from you. Weโ€™ll keep your information on file and reach out when a matching role becomes available. All of our positions are fully remote.
Explore Our Revenue Roles

Our Revenue Team is made up of three closely partnered functions. Below is a high-level overview of each role so you can let us know where you see yourself making the biggest impact.

Account Executive: At the forefront of our growth, working exclusively with prospective clients to show how our innovative solutions can change the game, AEs own the full sales cycleโ€”from prospecting to closing. Youโ€™ll build a thriving pipeline through creative outreach, strategic follow-ups, and consultative, problem-solving demos that turn higher ed leaders into long-term partners. Success in this role looks like crushing quota, building meaningful relationships, and partnering closely with Marketing, SDRs, and Client Success to ensure a smooth journey from first conversation to signed contract.

Typical Experience: 2โ€“5 years of SaaS sales or higher ed tech experience with a proven track record of exceeding quota. Consultative selling chops, CRM fluency (HubSpot a plus), and a relentless, creative drive to win.

OTE: $160,000 ($80,000 base + $80,000 variable, 50/50 split)

Account Manager: The driving force behind making sure our clients donโ€™t just renew their contractsโ€”they expand their use of Mongoose and canโ€™t imagine life without us. AMs own the renewal process and lead expansion efforts by building rock-solid relationships, conducting Mongoose Quarterly Reviews, and partnering closely with a dedicated Customer Success Manager who drives adoption and value realization. Success looks like increasing client retention and hitting both renewal and expansion quotas through strategic account planning and referential selling.

Typical Experience: Proven success carrying a renewal and/or expansion quota in a B2B SaaS environment. Relationship-builder with strong consultative communication skills, data-informed decision making, and CRM experience (HubSpot a plus).

OTE: $150,000 ($80,000 base + $70,000 variable)

Customer Success Manager: serve as strategic partners to our customersโ€”helping institutions translate communication into measurable outcomes. CSMs lead onboarding and implementation, drive adoption, interpret engagement data, and guide customers in optimizing their communication strategies using Mongooseโ€™s Conversation Intelligence Platform. Working hand-in-hand with Account Managers, CSMs identify growth opportunities, mitigate risk, and position Mongoose as a critical, campus-wide solution. Success looks like high adoption, healthy customers, and measurable institutional outcomes.

Typical Experience: Customer-first mindset with strong analytical and project management skills. Experience in higher ed or SaaS is a plusโ€”and weย  value candidates whoโ€™ve worked on a college or university campus (admissions, advising, enrollment management, student affairs, alumni relations, etc.), even without a traditional CSM title.

OTE: $75,000 ($65,000 base + $10,000 variable)

What We Look For
Across all of our revenue roles, we look for:
  • A Passion for Higher Ed: You care about the work colleges and universities do and are excited about helping them serve students, families, and alumni better through smarter communication.
  • Relationship-Driven Mindset: Whether youโ€™re selling, renewing, or supporting, you know how to build trust quickly and become a true partner to the people you work with.
  • Consultative Communication: You ask the right questions, listen carefully, and translate complex ideas into clear, actionable insights that resonate with decision-makers.
  • Data-Informed Approach: You use data as a secret weaponโ€”tracking what matters, spotting trends, and turning insights into action. CRM experience (HubSpot a plus) is valuable across all three roles.
  • Collaboration at the Core: Revenue is a team sport at Mongoose. You thrive in a partnership model where AEs, AMs, CSMs, Marketing, Product, and Leadership all work together to deliver outcomes.
  • Grit and Adaptability: You bring resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to learn fast in a high-growth, ever-evolving SaaS environment.
  • Higher Ed Knowledge (a Plus, Not a Must): Experience in higher ed is great, but itโ€™s not a deal-breaker. What matters most is your ability to learn fast, adapt quickly, and understand what makes this industry tick.
Why You'll Love it Here

Youโ€™ll join a team passionate about making meaningful connections in higher education and changing lives through smarter communication. Weโ€™re all about collaboration, growth, and doing work that truly makes a difference.

Over 4,000 teams across more than 950 higher education institutions partner with Mongoose to Make Every Message Countโ„ข. Our SaaS platform helps colleges and universities drive engagement at every stage of the student lifecycle, from admissions to alumni relations.

Our values define us, and we celebrate diversity in all its forms. If you donโ€™t meet 100% of the qualifications listed but believe you can make an impact, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and are eager to hear what you can bring to our team.

What We Offer
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401K with company match: 100% of the 1st 3% and 50% of the next 2%
  • Flexible PTO
  • Competitive Leave Policies
  • 13 paid holidays, including a week off between Christmas and New Yearโ€™s
