As a High Voltage Electrical Apprentice, you will primarily work on-site at power plants, substations, utility facilities, and construction sites, often outdoors and sometimes in challenging weather conditions. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced electricians, supervisors, and other apprentices, receiving hands-on training and guidance to develop your technical skills. Safety is a top priority, so you’ll regularly follow strict protocols and wear protective gear. Expect to perform physically demanding tasks, such as climbing ladders and working at heights, while learning to troubleshoot, install, and maintain high voltage electrical systems. This supportive team environment offers excellent learning opportunities and exposure to real-world scenarios in the electrical industry.
