Position: School Security
Job Summary:
The School Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors at the school. This includes monitoring school grounds, enforcing school policies, and responding to security incidents as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol school grounds to deter and detect unauthorized individuals or activities
  • Secure campus facilities and perimeter
  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies
  • Monitor parking, crosswalks and foot traffic
  • De-escalation of on-campus incidents and coordination with medical and safety services, as needed
  • Provide security at after-hours events as needed
  • Written Incidents Reports and Daily Activity Reports so security information is maintained/recorded
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in school security required
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
