Job description

Vice Principal ย Nottingham High School (Grades 9-12)

  • NJ Principal's Certificate Required (Standard, Provisional, or CE)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience;
  • Administrative Experience (a plus);
  • Knowledge/experience with best practices in high school education within a diverse school setting;
  • Knowledge of block-scheduling, A-Day/B-Day structure, and unit lunch;
  • Understanding of the role/importance of extra-curricular and athletics within a high school setting;
  • Knowledge/experience with master scheduling;
  • Knowledge/experience with administration of state assessments;
  • Understanding of teacher observation/evaluation process (ie: Danielson);
  • Understanding of high school graduation requirements;
  • Knowledge/experience with classroom and building school climate and restorative interventions;
  • Knowledge of school law, assessment accountability/procedures, and NJ Student Learning Standards;
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with building and central office administration (in a large district setting).
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Effective:ย  2026 - 2027 School Year

  • Anticipated Start Date: 9/1/2026 (or pending clearance)

Salary Range:ย (prorated from July 1, 2026 per start date)

  • Per HTASA Salary Guide STEP 9A at 89% for High School Vice-Principal
  • $140,719 to 145,219 (with doctorate degree)ย 
    ย

  • In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package:ย 
    including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. ย  Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
