Job description

BIM Coordinator - Chicago, IL or Madison, WI
Our offices in Chicago, IL and Madison, WI are seeking a BIM Technician to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment assisting firm engineers to produce MEP/FP design documents for firm projects. The BIM Technician performs technical tasks in Revit and AutoCAD software and reports directly to the Production Systems Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Setup and maintain firm AutoCAD and Revit projects (setup levels, views, sheets, adhering to firm CAD/Revit standards and the project BIM execution plan.
  • Maintain Revit models for all disciplines.
  • Ensure Salas O'Brien Revit standards are adhered to on each model.
  • Manage weekly model sharing; download/upload Revit models, apply updates.
  • Work closely with project team members to provide feedback on updated model
  • Lead model clash detection meetings to assist team members in solving conflicts.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients, architects and other
  • Provide technical support to team members.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Salas O'Brien Revit templates.
  • Create and modify Revit content/families for use in Salas O'Brien Revit models.
  • Assist with AutoCAD and Revit system training for employees.
  • Complete additional tasks as requested in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Technical School, Community College, or Associate's Degree program in Revit and AutoCAD or two years Revit and AutoCAD experience
  • Proficient in Revit

Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
