Job Description: Position is responsible for keeping interior and exteriors areas of the garage clean and safe. The following is the job description for the above referenced position, including the expectations and responsibilities of work, and any additional duties as assigned:

Required Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning inside the garage and outside which includes watering plants, snow removal and picking up trash.

Sweep and mop floors.

Clean interior and exterior glass and ledges.

Clean doors inside and out.

Sweep and mop stairs. Wipe handrails in stairways.

Check for debris and notify management.

Sweep garage upper and lower levels.

Snow removal and salt distribution on sidewalks and driveways. Check for ice buildup.

Water plants

Clean and sanitize bathrooms.

Remove all trash and recyclables.

Always carry a two-way radio while on duty.

Assist with holiday decorations.

Assist with emergency situations.

Inform Chief Engineer of any issues.

Other duties which may be required to ensure smooth operation of the garage and grounds.

No side jobs in the building allowed.

Non-Union Garage

Minimum Qualifications and Union Requirements

High school education or equivalent.

Janitorial experience.

Continuing education as required by the management.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Highly organized.

Self-motivated skills, i.e., takes initiative.

Interested in being part of the team to improve the community on all levels.

Excellent customer service skills.

Schedule: The shifts are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm. Cover shifts when other staff is on vacation.
