• Ensure construction documents comply with Florida Building Code, Miami-Dade County requirements, zoning regulations, accessibility standards, and life-safety requirements.
• Manage permit submissions and responses to plan review comments.
• Work directly with ownership, development managers, consultants, and contractors throughout the design and construction process.
• Perform constructability reviews and identify design conflicts prior to drawing issuance.
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field conditions during construction.
• Participate in value engineering and design optimization efforts.
• Conduct site visits and assist in resolving design and construction-related issues.
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate drawing production to meet development milestones.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Professional degree in Architecture.
• Licensed Architect preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of architectural experience with significant involvement in construction document production.
• Experience serving as the Lead Architect or Project Architect on high-rise residential, mixed-use, hospitality, or commercial projects.
• Extensive experience preparing and coordinating construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
• Thorough understanding of South Florida permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of the Florida Building Code, Miami-Dade County requirements, and local municipal review processes.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working directly for a real estate developer preferred.
• Experience with luxury condominium, hospitality, and mixed-use high-rise projects preferred.
• Familiarity with coastal construction requirements, hurricane-resistant design, and flood-zone regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced development environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, technical reports, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to prepare professional correspondence, reports, and construction-related documentation.
