Our client, a growing commercial general contractor, is seeking a motivated BIM Coordinator to support Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) efforts across multiple commercial construction projects.

The BIM Coordinator will support model coordination, clash detection, issue tracking, and construction coordination across multiple active projects. Working closely with project teams, design consultants, subcontractors, and field leadership, this individual will help ensure construction models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with successful field execution.
This role combines technical BIM expertise with practical construction knowledge to help identify issues before they reach the field.Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, update, and maintain federated BIM models using information from architects, engineers, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Perform clash detection, model coordination, version control, and routine model maintenance.
  • Support BIM coordination meetings by preparing agendas, clash reports, screenshots, meeting notes, and action item logs.
  • Review construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and trade layouts against project models to identify constructability issues.
  • Assist field teams with layout references, above-ceiling coordination, sleeve and block-out tracking, and turnover documentation.
  • Maintain issue tracking logs and monitor coordination items through resolution.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and design teams to improve project coordination.
  • Ensure BIM documentation is organized, accurate, and maintained throughout each project lifecycle.
  • Continuously develop BIM knowledge while supporting company standards and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting BIM, VDC, or model coordination on commercial or vertical construction projects.
  • Experience using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar cloud collaboration platforms.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP construction documents.
  • Understanding of construction sequencing and coordination principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to grow within BIM, VDC, and construction technology.
