Nova Driving School is looking for passionate, safety-focused Driving Instructors to join our team at our Madison St location in Oak Park. As part of the city's #1 driving school, you'll help teens and adults become confident, responsible drivers through patient, high-quality instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Safe Driving Skills - Provide hands-on instruction in safe, lawful driving techniques, including Illinois traffic laws, vehicle control, and defensive driving strategies.
Coach Students of All Levels - Adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of nervous, beginner, or advanced learners.
Ensure Safety at All Times - Maintain full awareness of surroundings, anticipate hazards, and use the instructor brake when necessary.
Track Student Progress - Document performance, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for their road test.
Maintain Professionalism - Foster a calm, positive, and focused learning environment inside the vehicle.
Stay Updated on Regulations - Remain knowledgeable about Illinois Secretary of State driving requirements and traffic law updates.
Requirements
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License with at least 2 years of issuance in the State of Illinois.
  • Clean driving record - No at-fault accidents within the last 5-7 years.
  • Minimum age: 21 years old.
