We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role

This role will serve as a National Campus Head Professional with a focus on teaching in all high-performance programs and assisting in all program delivery, while working to make our programs a model for the country.

  • Teach in high-performance programs delivered on campus.
  • Assist on court in other areas as needed.
  • Coordinate all staffing and practice plans for daily programs.
  • Coordinate and direct the day program for the high-performance team and high-performance players.
  • Oversee players on the campus for the day and afternoon programs.
  • Manage and coordinate special tennis events and tournaments.
  • Hire part-time assistants for teaching.
  • Teach, train, and mentor assistant professionals and interns.
  • Direct Associate Head Professional assigned to the area.
  • Provide daily group clinics and private instruction to satisfy participation.
  • Expose students to game-based teaching.
  • Coordinate and manage camps, including summer camps and holiday camps.
  • Act as a liaison and assist with the national campus events staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director.
  

Who You Are

  • USTA Coaching certified (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in teaching and communicating with all ages and levels of ability of students and assistant professionals.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Position is considered exempt.
  • This position is designated as "on-site" and requires the employee to be at the office site to complete the required tasks associated with the position.

The expected range for the annual base salary for this position is $100,000- 120,000. This role is eligible for an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) bonus up to 5%. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
