Breast Radiologist – South Florida (Flexible Part-Time Onsite Biopsies + Optional Remote Telemammo) Opportunity


Location: South Florida (Wellington, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale – and surrounding areas)

Schedule: Minimum 1 day/week (2–3 days/week preferred)

Compensation: $3,000/day for on-site biopsy days + additional pay for optional remote telemammography reads

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established teleradiology group, is seeking a Breast Radiologist to support its partner imaging centers across South Florida.


This position offers a hybrid model combining on-site breast biopsy days with optional remote telemammography work (screening/diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasounds). The group provides a strong infrastructure, excellent technologist support, and workstations for remote reads.

This is an ideal opportunity for a fellowship-trained breast imager—or any MQSA-qualified radiologist—looking for a flexible, high-paying, part-time role with the backing of a respected teleradiology organization.


Position Highlights


  • On-Site Work:
  • Perform breast biopsies 1–3 days/week (2 days preferred).
  • Locations of greatest need: Wellington, Aventura, and Fort Lauderdale.
  • Case volume as desired (typical ~10 biopsies/day).
  • Radiologists may read between procedures.
  • Remote Work (Optional):
  • Telemammography reads available (mammogram + breast ultrasound).
  • Typical volume: ~50 studies/day, up to 5 days/week.
  • Workstation provided by the group + malpractie insurance

Shift Details:

  • 7–8 hour workdays onsite biopses.
  • Flexible remote extra reads (Mammo + US)


Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Radiologist (MD or DO).
  • MQSA certification required.
  • Breast Imaging Fellowship preferred (not required).
  • Proficiency in image-guided breast biopsy techniques.
  • Active Florida medical license (or eligibility).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.


Compensation & Structure

  • $3,000+/day for on-site biopsy work (includes reads performed on those days).
  • Additional compensation available for optional remote telemammography reads.
  • Independent contractor (1099) structure.
