Job description

Overview of Responsibilities -
Proudly and confidently represents and personifies the sophisticated image of company by assuming the duties of cocktail server, our "signature position." Serves customers with style, courtesy, and a sense of fun. Consistently adheres to all company service and operating standards.
Essential Job Duties -
  • Provides excellent guest service to make the experience for the guest memorable.
  • Handles customer complaints, and, if necessary, solicits involvement and support from supervisor.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of Company events and promotions and be able to answer customers' questions accordingly
  • Follows established company and departmental appearance standards, including uniform, hygiene, and general appearance guidelines, at all times.
  • Participates in the bi-annual appearance standard check for the cocktail server position and adheres to the terms and conditions of the guidelines set forth.
  • Serves as a company "ambassador" for promotional events, outside charity functions, sporting events, etc....
  • Fulfills guest beverage order requests on the casino floor or other areas as assigned, by taking and processing orders, and serving them in a friendly, quick and efficient manner. 10-5 foot rule with guests.
  • Assists with preparing drink orders as directed.
  • Card any customer who looks 30 years old or younger. Retrieves empty glasses and returns them to the service bar or other designated area.
  • Follow Company procedures with respect to Responsible Gaming and Alcohol Service.
  • No more than two butts in an ashtray before it is changed.
  • Works collegially with supervisors, bartenders, bar porters, and other cocktail servers to prepare and deliver drinks quickly and courteously.
  • Understands, complies with, and enforces all alcohol awareness procedures and relevant laws.
  • Utilizes proper cash and comp procedures, and adheres to established P.O.S procedures and pricing structure for every drink order.
  • Maintains a clean, well-organized and properly stocked service area at all times.
  • Complete all established set-up and break-down procedures.
  • Communicates with Supervisors regularly to express concerns or give suggestions regarding the day to day operations of the department.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with all relevant sanitation and safety laws and regulations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Must be willing to adhere strictly, and without restriction, to the appearance and uniform guidelines for this position, including the mandated heel height for the approved footwear that is selected by the company to complement the uniform.
  2. Must appear comfortable, poised, and confident in the company-issued uniform at all times. Must acknowledge and agree to adherence, without restriction, to any future uniform designs and accompanying accessories that may be selected by the company in the future. Must be polite, courteous, and willing to pitch in and help others as directed.
  3. Must be capable of walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, squatting, and kneeling, while balancing trays with several beverages, for a full 8 hour shift. Capable of communicating in English, both verbal and written communication.
