Our expertise includes luxury retail, boutique retail stores, and high-profile commercial spaces where precision and exceptional finish quality are paramount.


Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to manage Commercial TI and ground-up projects nationwide, with a special emphasis on luxury retail, high-end retail, boutique retail stores, and similar commercial projects. This role requires strong leadership to oversee subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, maintain schedules, and coordinate seamlessly with project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, demanding construction environment. Extensive travel is required for this position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage subcontractors to ensure high-quality, precise work, especially for luxury and high-end retail finishes

  • Manage daily on-site operations, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget

  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and detailed schedules

  • Coordinate daily activities with the client’s team to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to brand standards

  • Conduct jurisdictional inspections, including those by local building officials, health departments, fire departments, special inspections, and owner walkthroughs

  • Maintain detailed project schedules and enforce compliance with safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures

  • Oversee final inspections and ensure completion of all certifications necessary for occupancy

  • Track and manage project financials, including general contractor costs, change requests, and budget adherence

  • Assist the Project Manager in compiling closeout documentation, such as as-builts, warranty information, and OEM manuals

  • Conduct and document weekly on-site safety meetings to ensure strict adherence to safety standards

  • Complete daily logs accurately by the end of each business day

  • Review all submittals and manage the punch list to ensure flawless project completion

  • Coordinate owner-supplied vendors and equipment to support seamless project execution



Qualifications & Desired Education

  • 5+ years as a Superintendent

  • Strong computer skills and ability to manage detailed paperwork and reporting

  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and submittals with precision

  • Previous experience working on luxury retail, high-end retail, boutique retail stores, or comparable high-detail commercial projects is highly desirable

  • Familiarity with CM Software experience: Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.
  • Experience with wood framing in retail construction is a plus

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong understanding of building systems, including Architectural, MEP, and finish coordination

  • Highly motivated, with excellent organizational, leadership, and customer service skills

  • Relevant industry certifications and training should be included in applications
