Job description

Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking a Pricing Analyst in Dallas, TX, who will be responsible for analyzing market trends, executing pricing strategies, and developing pricing models to optimize revenue and profits for company products and services in the assigned Marketing region. Additionally, this role will be responsible for executing daily price changes, identifying potential risks or opportunities, and making recommendations to senior management.

Job Duties
  • Conducts research and analysis to determine competitive pricing strategies for wholesale products.
  • Collects and reviews data related to customer demand, market trends, and product costs to develop pricing models.
  • Leads collaborative efforts with sales teams to understand customer needs and price sensitivities to create tailored pricing plans.
  • Leads cross-functional teams for assigned Marketing region, including sales, marketing, supply, and operations, to develop and execute pricing strategies that align with overall business objectives.
  • Creates and manages pricing structures, including discounts, to support sales growth and profit margins.
  • Identifies, analyzes and recommends opportunities for cost savings or increased profitability.
  • Stays current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators that may impact pricing decisions.
  • Monitors pricing changes in the market and adjusts pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Communicates pricing strategies and recommendations to senior management.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and customers.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience
A minimum of 5 years related work experience is required.  
Education Level
A minimum Bachelors degree in finance, economics, business or related field is required.
Required Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, and experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, MarketView or Power BI.  Understanding of pricing models and strategies. Effective and productive communication and interpersonal skills.   PREFERRED SKILLS: Knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.  Experience with pricing software and systems.
