Job description

Basic Function
The Risk and Real Estate Specialist is responsible for managing the corporate office facility, serving as the primary liaison with Landlord and property management, overseeing routine maintenance, and assisting with real estate and risk management projects across the HF Sinclair corporate enterprise.
Job Duties
(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
  • Manage day to day facilities function for corporate office.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety/loss control issues and address any issues promptly.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute office moves, relocations, and renovations while minimizing disruptions to operations.
  • Manage space planning and allocation, analyzing space requirements and implementing strategies for optimal utilization of office space.
  • Review enterprise leases and contracts to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Coordinates cost allocation of all premiums, claim payments, claim handling fees, legal fees, third party administration fees, and insurance premium audits.
  • Assist with corporate insurance renewals.
  • Coordinate bond placement and renewals, certificates of insurance, and automobile identification cards.
  • Assists in the design, development, and implementation of risk management programs and coordinates and maintains the program and systems to mitigate and monitor risk as well as the cost of risk.
 
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of two years of experience working in a corporate setting.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
Required Skills
Demonstrates high standards of integrity, honesty, ethics, and confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Ability to successfully negotiate with all internal client levels, external counterparties, and personalities. Relevant computer knowledge and experience. Ability to work well as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail oriented; proven ability to work in a complex environment with multiple priorities and projects while maintaining a high stress tolerance. Proficient in planning and organizing, and monitoring information.
 
PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience in the Corporate Real Estate or Risk Management/Insurance is preferred.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
May provide direction to junior level employees, interns, and contract personnel.
Work Conditions
Office based with travel up to 5% required by land or air. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.  Available for emergency issues 24/7.
Physical Requirements
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movement, lifting and carrying up to 40lbs, pushing and pulling up to 40lbs.
