Hess Services, Inc. is hiring a Mobile Crane Operator responsible for operating cranes safely and efficiently in support of field and yard operations. Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Operates crane to lift, position, secure, and haul loads and observes rigging to determine safety of loads.
  2. Cleans, inspects and maintains cranes and rigging.
  3. Conducts/documents daily inspections, determine load weights, review daily work and delivery schedules and performing tasks with lifting equipment.
  4. Drives equipment safely to and from job site locations obeying all DOT requirements.
  5. Performs mechanic work on trucks, loaders and equipment.
  6. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures tools, materials and equipment at end of day.
  7. Performs additional duties as needed

Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   1. High school diploma or equivalent and crane certification preferred.
  2. Critical thinking skills to use logic and reasoning to identify conclusions or approaches to problems required.
  3. Must have practical skills in rigging operations along with a valid Class A CDL.
  4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, job instructions and basic problem solving skills.
  5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
  6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  7. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  9. Ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to use department equipment.
  10. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
