ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Serve as a luxury brand ambassador, delivering personalized hospitality experiences for collectors, VIPs, trade partners, club members, and discerning wine enthusiasts.
โ€ข Drive premium wine sales through meaningful client relationships, consultative selling, and thoughtful follow-up that extends well beyond the tasting experience.
โ€ข Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales goals, average order value, and wine club acquisition objectives.
โ€ข Develop, manage, and expand a personal portfolio of repeat clients through proactive outreach, phone and email sales, personalized recommendations, and concierge-level service.
โ€ข Leverage an existing network of collectors, luxury clientele, or hospitality partners to generate new business opportunities whenever possible.
โ€ข Conduct engaging tastings and tours while confidently communicating Hess Persson Estates' wines, history, vineyard practices, and family legacy.
โ€ข Identify opportunities for additional purchases, club memberships, large-format sales, corporate gifting, and private experiences.
โ€ข Collaborate with the DTC and Marketing teams on client development initiatives, special events, and strategic sales campaigns.
โ€ข Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity using POS and reservation systems.
โ€ข Stay current on industry trends, competitive wineries, luxury hospitality, and wine education.
โ€ข Support the overall operation of the Visitor Center, including merchandising, inventory support, presentation standards, and other hospitality responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:
โ€ข 5+ years of luxury wine sales or luxury hospitality sales experience, with a demonstrated history of consistently ranking among the top sales performers within their organization.
โ€ข A verifiable track record of exceeding revenue goals, increasing average transaction value, and developing long-term customer loyalty.
โ€ข An existing network of wine collectors, club members, luxury travelers, concierge partners, or high-net-worth clientele is strongly preferred.
โ€ข Exceptional consultative sales skills with the ability to build trust and foster lasting client relationships.
โ€ข A passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of fine wine, preferably supported by formal wine education (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, CSW, or equivalent), or a commitment to continued wine education.
โ€ข Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with confidence engaging sophisticated clientele.
โ€ข Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage client follow-up and sales opportunities.
โ€ข Proficiency with POS, CRM, reservation systems, and direct-to-consumer sales platforms.
โ€ข Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
โ€ข Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid California driver's license.
โ€ข Availability to work weekends, holidays, and winery events.

This role's compensation is anticipated to fit within the range of $25-$30 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, knowledge, and education.
