Purpose of Role
The Product Line Manager (PLM), Golf Footwear, plays a critical role in building and managing seasonal line plans that meet the needs of the golf athlete while delivering against revenue, margin, and growth targets. This role manages Golf Footwear in end-to-end seasonal execution and contributes significantly to the Footwear innovation and strategy, ensuring the category delivers performance solutions backed by consumer insight and athlete validation.
The PLM is primarily focused on seasonal execution (1-2 seasons out) while contributing insights into longer-term category planning. They will own briefs, line architecture, and lifecycle planning across footwear, collaborating closely with Design, Development, Merchandising, Marketing, and Regional teams to ensure product creation drives both commercial success and marketplace impact.
This role serves as the strategic category owner and cross-functional leader for all things Golf Footwear, driving athlete-validated innovation, marketplace influence, and global product alignment.
Your Impact
  • Manage seasonal assortments, ensuring a balance of innovation, carryover, and regional relevance. Anticipates obstacles in seasonal execution and takes action to deliver against athlete needs.
    • Measured by: On-time seasonal line completion, SKU productivity, balanced carryover vs. new styles.
  • Solicit athlete and consumer feedback, interpret insights, and translate them into clear, actionable briefs. Influence footwear performance, durability, and innovation platforms.
    • Measured by: % of briefs incorporating insights, success of products at retail, athlete/consumer validation feedback.
  • Partner with Merchandising, GMP and Finance to deliver margin, SKU efficiency, and lifecycle planning. Establishes and communicates clear measures of seasonal success, anticipates risks, and proactively addresses obstacles that could impact delivery.
    • Measured by: Hitting margin, SKU productivity, seasonal sell-through targets, and adoption of line architecture by regions.
  • Stay externally oriented by engaging with golfers, consumers, and marketplace activity. Maintain strong awareness of golf markets, identifying shifts in consumer preferences, innovations, and performance needs to shape category roadmaps.
    • Measured by: Marketplace wins, successful competitive differentiation, improved NPD share.
  • Serve as the hub between Design, Development, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Regions, and Accounts to align product creation and GTM. Partners with the right teammates at the right time to integrate perspectives and co-create solutions.
    • Measured by: Regional adoption of line plans, account-specific wins, cross-functional alignment and GTM readiness.
  • Serve as the Golf Footwear Athlete Outfitting Manager, ensuring all sponsored golf athletes are equipped with the right footwear at the right time. Partner closely with Sports Marketing to manage athlete fittings, product testing, feedback collection, ordering, and shipment logistics to support performance needs on tour.
    • Measured by: On-time and accurate product deliveries to tour athletes, quality and consistency of athlete fittings and interactions, successful integration of athlete insights into product development, athlete satisfaction and feedback, and seamless execution of seasonal and launch outfitting initiatives.
  • Leverage athlete and consumer insights to shape seasonal stories, product briefs, and GTM plans, tailoring communication to different audiences and ensuring Golf footwear anchor brand narratives.
    • Measured by: Integration of athlete/consumer insights into briefs and GTM, campaigns anchored in seasonal hero products, and resonance of seeded product with target athletes and consumers.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to cross-functional partners. Contribute to a high-performing, inclusive team culture by encouraging collaboration, open communication, and professional growth.
    • Measured by: Positive team feedback, contribution to pipeline development, and effective collaboration across functions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • Ability to translate product strategy into compelling category narratives, storylines, and presentations for senior leadership, regions, and marketplace partners.
  • Experience influencing footwear innovation roadmaps and embedding consumer and athlete insights into performance footwear solutions.
  • Passion for serving the golf athlete and driving innovation in performance product.
  • Comfort leveraging AI and digital tools for consumer and athlete insights, trend analysis, storytelling, and workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to analyze data and make consumer- and business-driven recommendations.
  • Executive-ready communication skills with the ability to influence across functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Agility and flexibility to operate across categories and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (~10-15%)

Workplace Location
  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD (HQ) office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
  • Travel: 10-15%

Base Compensation
$110,000.00-$150,000.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
