Job description

Location:HF Providence Novi & HF Providence Southfield

Status:Contingent

Schedule:Rotating

Call/Weekends:Weekends, yes. No call.

Position Overview:

Henry Ford Healthis seeking a contingent (PRN) Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team.

This role is open to NNPs only, with a minimum of three years of Level III NICU experience required. The NNP will provide comprehensive care to high-risk neonates, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex neonatal conditions in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

This position offers flexible, as-needed scheduling and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced and supportive neonatal care team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Employment contingent upon credentialing and completion of Employee Health screening per HFHS policy.

Qualifications:

  • NNP Only with Current MI licensure.

  • 2-5 years’ experience, preferred.

  • National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)

  • BLS required

Education & Training

· Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP):Completion of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program (CCNE or NLNAC)

Licensure

· Current licensureas a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required)

Certification

· NNP: Certification by theNational Certification Corporation (NCC)

Required Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)– required

DEA / Controlled Substance Licensure

  • PA:DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing

  • NP:DEA registration required through credentialing; NPs do not hold a Michigan CSL and will use their Michigan license number during the application process
