Job description

The Vehicle Exchange Specialist plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the service and sales departments. The primary focus of this position is to identify and engage with customers in the service drive, presenting them with attractive vehicle exchange opportunities. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who possesses strong communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and a passion for the automotive industry.
  • Identify Prospects: Proactively approach customers in the service drive to discuss their current vehicle and identify potential sales leads.
  • Customer Engagement: Build rapport and establish trust with service customers by understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Vehicle Evaluation: Assess the value of customers' current vehicles and explain the benefits of upgrading to a newer model.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the latest Ford vehicles, including features, benefits, and current promotions.
  • Offer Presentation: Present compelling vehicle exchange offers to customers, highlighting the advantages of trading in their current vehicle for a new or certified pre-owned Ford.
  • Sales Process Facilitation: Coordinate with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition from service to sales, including test drives, appraisals, and financial discussions.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all customer interactions, trade-in evaluations, and sales leads in the dealership's CRM system.
  • Follow-Up: Conduct timely follow-ups with service customers to nurture leads and close sales opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with service advisors, sales consultants, and management to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.
  • Customer Retention: Develop strategies to enhance customer retention and loyalty through exceptional customer service.

Requirements
  • Outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well in a process driven environment.
  • Ability to work every Saturday
  • Previous sales, customer service or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Must submit to a background and drug screen.

Working Environment & Physical Demands
Duties are performed throughout the dealer premises, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts will include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
