Position Summary

The Customer Sales Specialist is responsible for creating a book of business and creating new customer sales for the brokerage division.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify targets and establish points of contact as well as building, maintaining and strengthening those relationships.

Build a portfolio of business.

Provide exemplary customer service.

Oversee customer operations on accounts.

Price business.

Track and report on sales activity and maintain referral sources profiles.

Create opportunity for relationship building by identifying new leads and contacts.

Create and use a customer lead list targeting growth accounts.

Build higher level customer relations to gain business.

Cover shipments as necessary.

Review customer accounts receivable (AR) and ensure payment is made.

Actively work to achieve and exceed quarterly and yearly goals including quotas, referral metrics and sales goals.

Collaborate with Sales Manager regarding sales strategies.

Perform additional duties as required.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Minimum 1-3 years of sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

May be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.

Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Work Environment:

Salary Range:

Disclaimer: The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $60,000 annually plus commission. This range is based on market data and internal equity. The final offer will be determined by various factors, including the candidate's experience, education, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
