Adult Hematologist โ Classical Hematology
Innovative Hematology, Inc. (IHI) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Adult Hematologist with expertise in Classical (Non-Malignant) Hematology to join our nationally recognized comprehensive care team. Innovative Hematology provides state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary care for patients across the full spectrum of classical hematologic disordersโfrom common conditions to rare and complex diseases. As a certified patient-centered medical home, IHI is nationally recognized for delivering coordinated, high-quality care through integrated clinical programs.
IHI is home to Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center (IHTC), a 501(c)(3) organization and one of the largest federally recognized hemophilia treatment centers in the United States. In addition, IHI serves as a major regional referral center for a wide range of classical hematology conditions, including:
- Bleeding and clotting disorders (hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, rare factor deficiencies, thrombophilia)
- Thrombosis and vascular medicine
- Red cell disorders and complex anemias (iron deficiency, hemolytic anemias, inherited disorders)
- Sickle cell disease and hemoglobinopathies (comprehensive lifespan program)
- Platelet disorders and bone marrow failure syndromes
- Women's health and hematology (including heavy menstrual bleeding and reproductive hematology)
- Cardiovascular risk and hematology interface programs
- Emerging therapeutics programs, including gene therapy and novel agents
Our programs are supported by a highly integrated, multidisciplinary team that includes hematologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, behavioral health specialists, and genetic counselors. IHI is also recognized as a Center of Excellence for HHT, and for clinical care, research, education, and innovation in rare hematologic diseases.
The Adult Hematologist โ Classical Hematology will:
- Provide comprehensive care across the spectrum of benign hematologic disorders, including hemostasis, thrombosis, anemia, and complex multisystem conditions
- Participate in and help expand specialized programs within classical hematology, including bleeding disorders, thrombosis, red cell disorders, and women's health
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of more than 20 physicians and more than 20 advanced practice providers
- Contribute to clinical program development, quality improvement initiatives, and care model innovation
- Participate in shared call responsibilities, including nights and weekends
- Engage in inpatient consultation services through established hospital partnerships
