Job description

Exciting opportunity to join a friendly team and grow your career within a dynamic, thriving organization! Our Steel Service Center is currently looking to immediately fill a Slitter Helper position due to recent volume increases and demand for our specialized products and services.

Candidates must have steel slitting experience!


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setup overarm on recoiler according to work order
  • Setup slitter for accurate slitting according to work order
  • Setup for burr free slitting
  • Change slitter heads for job change over

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Past slitting experience
  • Must be able to work any shift (morning, afternoon, night, graveyard)
  • General computer knowledge
  • Past experience in steel warehousing
  • Ability to operate a forklift as needed
  • Ability to read tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
