We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Documentation Specialist to join our team and assist our industry partner's defense and rocket support services in Crane Indiana. In this role, you will prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation and will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and program managers to ensure complex technical data is accurately translated into clear, concise, and compliant documentation.
What You'll Do
  • Develop high-quality documentation that is coherent and easy to follow, as well as complies with corresponding standard, style guide, and/or directive and meets the customer's and end user's needs to include standardize documentation, ensuring all materials follow military style guides, as well as technical standards, and safety regulations
  • Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation. Researching, collecting, analyzing, organizing, and preparing technical information and data. Manipulating graphics, charts, diagrams, etc. to be included in documentation
  • Create and implement a document configuration management plan for a rapid, high tempo experimental testing facility ensuring version control for development and to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Develop libraries for all documents and project files, maintaining proper levels of control throughout project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document discrepancies during integration and testing. Work closely with engineers, testers, and program managers to capture technical details and translate them into test-ready documents
  • Develop and optimize procedures for manufacturing and testing capabilities to support increased flight test cadence and development to include manipulating graphics, charts, diagrams, etc. to be included in documentation
  • Performing clerical/administrative duties as assigned
  • Coordinate, develop and optimize process workflows to accelerate project integration and test readiness

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 5+ years of experience. Additional experience in Navy weapon system maintenance, operation, or testing in lieu of degree.
  • An active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level or above (or have held an active DoD clearance within the last 2 years)
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience with the MS Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project), and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively collaborate with a variety of teams and interested parties
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail, strong written communication skills
  • A willingness to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks from various requestors.
  • Ability to multitask and work with strict deadlines/timeframes
  • Capable of understanding, interpreting, and synthesizing engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with ISEAs, and other available sources
  • Possess attention to detail and ability to edit documents for technical accuracy
