Job description

The production worker is an essential part of the manufacturing process, responsible for supporting daily operation by transforming raw material into finished goods.  

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all assignments in accordance with company policies.
  • Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure efficient operation and adherence to safety standards.  
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications and report any defects to supervisor. 
  • Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment (fast-paced)
  • Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
  • Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
  • Attention to detail 
  • Must work well in team environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical stamina-this job often requires standing for prolonged periods (8-12 hours) and performing repetitive tasks. 
  • Ability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear; and walk or sit. 
The employee must regularly lift and/or move tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
 

Mental Demands
While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents.
 

Work Environment
