Job description

Opportunity
Brunswick Group is seeking an Associate to bolster its growing Digital practice in our New York office. Brunswick's Digital team leverages expertise in content creation, campaign management, analytics, and digital strategy to help organizations achieve their communications goals. From building LinkedIn strategy for Fortune 50 CEOs, to digital amplification during the world's largest IPOs, to finding cyber hackers during online breaches, you'll be working to support our clients with their most critical business needs.
While this role will have exposure across our practice groups and sectors, we are specifically looking for a digital expert to support our Financial Situations practice with digital communications around deals, activism, special situations, etc.
About the Role
Client Contribution & Handling
  • Serve as a digital strategy expert to clients on reputation, financial and crisis situations across multiple industries
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the clients' business and strategic communications issues
  • Project management workflow and act as the account driver on digital mandates for teams
  • Provide relevant insight, guidance and advice to clients
  • Play integral role in new business process; manage digital contributions to RFPs and participate in pitch preparation

Team Management
  • Manage and mentor team members; work with Partner and Director on the day-to-day management of staff and client deliverables
  • Manage the development of key client documents by playing a vital role in drafting, editing and routing throughout the internal process and external delivery
  • Oversee assignments; responsible for distilling a large amount of information into the most impactful and helpful points
  • Liaise between the client and internal teams, including the main client-facing team, design, Brunswick Creative, etc.

Networking
  • Foster a network of contacts and relationships amongst colleagues in all offices
  • Proactively build a network locally to identify talent referral and new business prospects across media, advisory, investor, regulatory, NGO and other communities
  • Share networks and create opportunities for junior and senior colleagues to develop their own relationships

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 6 - 8+ years of relevant work experience in a digital advisory role for corporate reputation, financial and crisis situations
  • Experience leveraging and measuring efforts on social media platforms to achieve business objectives, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other new media
  • Working knowledge of digital tools including monitoring / analytics systems (such as Radian6, Sysomos, Sprinklr or Spredfast; Facebook and Google analytics)
  • Deep understanding of business and finance
  • Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication ability
  • Energetic team player with strong self-motivation
  • Experience managing teams and passionate about mentoring junior staff
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
  • Exhibit discretion with confidential client matters

The successful applicant will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits package:
Base Pay: The annual base compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $165,000. The base pay offered will be determined by factors including experience, skills, training, office location, certifications, and education.
Bonus Eligibility: Annual discretionary bonus contingent upon individual and firm-wide performance.
