Job description

Draper and Kramer is a family owned company with over 130 years of experience providing vertically integrated property and financial services throughout the United States. Specifically, our services include multi-family residential and commercial property management, acquisition, development, debt and equity commercial financing.

The Janitor Helper C reports directly to the Head Janitor (property engineer), and while specific responsibilities will vary based on location, the janitor helper will be responsible for general cleaning, removal of refuse, sweeping and dusting of common areas. The ability to multi-task and be adaptive to changing responsibilities while keeping a positive attitude are crucial. Membership in the Union is a requirement. This position is located in River North, Chicago, IL.

Schedule

  • Thursday โ€“ Monday: 9:00 AM โ€“ 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning of garage and garage stairwells ensuring a safe and clean environment for guests and residents
  • May assist with cleaning including vacuuming carpets, refuse removal, cleaning of chute rooms, sweeping and mopping, snow removal
  • Relieve door staff for lunch and breaks as needed
  • Assist in maintenance and medical emergencies as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience working in multifamily facilities Light plumbing, minor electrical and HVAC skills are neededย 
  • Educational requirements as based on unionย 
  • Must be a self-starter and able to multi-task Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment which may require working holidays, weekends and nights based on needs at site location and in cases of emergency Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Being able to follow instructions

Compensation

  • CBA Hourly Rate: $22.82
