Houseperson Full-Time, The American Club
Work Mode: Onsite
Location: Kohler, WI
Opportunity
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Dusts and polishes metalwork.
  • Collects soiled linen for laundering.
  • Maintains housekeeping carts.
  • Removes trash collected by Room Attendants.
  • Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect newspapers, trash, soiled linen.
  • Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor closet.
  • Deliver towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms on requests.
  • Perform duties of Room Attendant when necessary.
  • Sort linen, stock room, and attendant closets.
  • Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor closet.
  • Help the Room Attendants with the heavy lifting as needed.
  • Clean all hotel guest corridors while following department standard operating procedures.
  • Assist Room Attendants with placing bed boards, roll-ways beds, extra bed etc.
  • Report missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors.
  • Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
  • Take up any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed.
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming standards as assigned by venue.
  • Use radio to relay info

This is a full-time position. Applicants must haveweekdays and weekends availability working primarily 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Skills/Requirements
  • High School Diploma is preferred but not required.
  • Prior hotel/lodging experience is preferred but not required (level I).
  • Candidate must speak, write, and/or understand English preferred but not required.
  • Must be detail oriented.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
The hourly range for this position is $12.75 - $19.15. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
