Seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for Level III NICU in Fredericksburg, VA! 16-hr Shifts!


Neonatal Nurse Practitioner – Level III NICU - Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center – Fredericksburg, VA

16Hour Shifts • 7–8 Shifts/Month • Help Build a Growing Program

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our expanding team at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center (SRMC) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a growing NICU program committed to keeping families together — right in their own community

Your Clinical Scope

Staffing Model: 2 Neonatologists + 3 NNPs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24hour inhouse NNP coverage
  • Work alongside Neonatologists during the day; overnight inhouse with 30minute physician call backup
  • Attend deliveries and support a growing NICU service line
  • Educate and mentor RN/RT teams as acuity and volume evolve
  • Enjoy selfscheduling with ~1,944 hours/year

NICU Snapshot

  • 8bed Level III NICU
  • 10 LDR couplet care rooms
  • Average daily census: 9–11 (NICU + Nursery)
  • ~1,250 annual deliveries
  • Inhouse OB Hospitalists for seamless perinatal care
