CONNECTIONS PASTORย

Lakeland Community Church | lakeland.churchย

Position: Full-Time (45โ€“50 hours/week)ย

Location: Lake Geneva, Wisconsinย

Reports to: Adult Ministries Pastorย

About Lakelandย

Lakeland Community Church is a vibrant, growing community of Christ-followers in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, leading people to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and commit to the mission of Jesus...because lives are at stake.ย

Position Summaryย

The Connections Pastor creates environments where every person can move from being a guest to becoming a fully engaged follower of Jesus. This role provides vision and leadership for Guest Services, Adult Groups, and connection strategies that help people experience belonging, authentic relationships, and spiritual growth.ย

By developing leaders, strengthening systems, and cultivating welcoming environments, the Connections Pastor ensures every person has a clear next step into biblical community and discipleship.ย

YOU WILL:ย

Champion a Culture of Belongingย

Lead the vision for creating a church where every person feels welcomed, known, valued, and connected. Build systems and experiences that remove barriers and help people take meaningful next steps.ย

Lead the Guest Experienceย

Provide leadership for Guest Services by developing volunteers, refining systems, and creating exceptional weekend environments where every guest experiences genuine hospitality and authentic connection.ย

Build Healthy Groupsย

Provide vision and oversight for Adult Groups that foster biblical community, spiritual formation, and life-on-life discipleship. Create pathways that help people grow through meaningful relationships.ย

Develop Leadersย

Recruit, equip, coach, and encourage Group Leaders, Coaches, Host Team Leaders, and Guest Services volunteers. Build healthy leadership pipelines that multiply leaders and strengthen ministry capacity.ย

Create Clear Connection Pathwaysย

Design and improve systems that move people from first-time guest to active participant through groups, serving opportunities, discipleship environments, and meaningful relationships.ย

Strengthen Ministry Systemsย

Provide Pastoral Leadershipย

Serve the church through pastoral care, leadership, baptisms, communion, weddings, funerals, and other pastoral responsibilities while helping advance Lakeland's overall mission and vision.ย

YOU HAVE:ย

A Pastor's Heartย

You genuinely love people and are passionate about helping individuals take meaningful next steps in their relationship with Jesus.ย

A Builder's Mindsetย

You naturally create systems, strategies, and pathways that help ministries become healthier, stronger, and more scalable.ย

Leadership That Multipliesย

You recruit, develop, coach, and empower leaders rather than simply filling volunteer positions. You find joy in seeing others grow.ย

Relational Intelligenceย

You connect easily with people from every stage of life and create environments where relationships develop naturally.ย

Strategic Thinkingย

You see both the big picture and the details, helping ministries move from ideas to sustainable execution.ย

Excellent Communication Skillsย

You communicate vision clearly, inspire volunteers, and collaborate effectively across staff teams.ย

Organizational Excellenceย

You effectively manage multiple priorities, lead projects with consistency, and ensure ministries operate with intentionality and excellence.ย

A Strong Lakeland DNA Matchย

You demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus, embrace Lakeland's mission and values, and faithfully represent the culture of our church through humility, integrity, servant leadership, and excellence.ย
