Position: Level 1 Technician

Clearance: Active Secret

Shift: Day/ Night Shift HST

Location: Springfield, Virginia

The Level 1 Technician is responsible for maintaining the datacenter environment and ensuring all customer server environments are secure, operational, and highly available through continuous proactive monitoring, customer support, and scheduled maintenance preparation.

Responsibility:

Provide systems availability monitoring and reporting

Provide systems diagnostics monitoring and reporting

Perform Incident capture, verification, diagnostics and

Perform data and system backups and restores

Perform Level I designated first call resolution

Maintain knowledgebase documentation and ability to work overnights


Desired Experience:


Required Skills:

1 to 3 years of related experience

Experience with system monitoring

Experience with Microsoft server products

Previous experience of building and repairing PCs and Servers

Previous experience in a customer service orientated position preferred

Good knowledge of PC and Server Hardware

Hardworking and copes well under high pressure

Self-driven with the ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups

Ability to follow defined operational standards, understand data center critical infrastructure, and understand server operating systems

Strong verbal and written communication
