Job description

CAMS - Badger Midstream Energy is hiring a Plant Operator for Shift activities that include cross-functional work in helium plant operations, reciprocating compressors operations, natural gas dehydration, while working in a team environment that operates the helium plant and compressor station facilities in accordance with company policies/procedures and in compliance with all regulatory agencies.

The successful incumbent must be self-motivated, and a self-starter who is comfortable working alone as well as in a group environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work other than regular hours and callouts and may be subject to shift assignments.
  • Must work effectively in a team environment.
  • Needs to be a self-starter and have good communication skills.
  • Develop a monthly production schedule for the helium plant.
  • Communicate schedule with clients.
  • Demonstrate ability to start up entire compression and natural gas process equipment after a shutdown.
  • Demonstrate ability to shut down helium plant properly.
  • Demonstrate the ability to restart the helium plant from cold shutdown.
  • Demonstrate ability to reset breakers or replace electrical equipment fuses to establish plant operation.
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot operations or production issues in the natural gas process equipment and the helium plant.
  • Lead in all on-the-job (OJT) training areas for lower-level employees.
  • Adheres to housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of personal protective equipment.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
